A SPRINT SESSION THAT TURNED OUT A-OK!
Peak Performance is an outdoor brand founded in 1986 by ski enthusiasts. The core idea behind the clothing was to combine design with technical solutions. After a briefing at their headquarter, we were ready to create something that would spark the curiosity of the playful and passionate buyers.
Our project was launched during the tech-week at Hyper Island, where we had a total of a week (5 days) to create a prototype and pitch it for the head staff of Peak Performance. The main reason of this, was to imitate a “Sprint” session.
The brief we were tasked with solving, was vaguely: increase our sales, by using our soon-ready pop up shop at Götgatan (One of the busiest streets during nighttime, with bars and restaurant located nearby – in the trendy Södermalm).
We started with visiting the pop up shop to get an idea of the possible within our “setting”: there was a huge glass facade towards the streets and arcs in the ceiling that casted shadows on the walls.
With our “branding-goggles” we wanted to reflect the values of Peak Performance and embrace the audience, creating an installation that would draw attention towards it.
We came up with the installation shown in the video. Imitating the elements was the core of the solution. We wanted to fabricate the most beautiful thing that nature could provide: Aurora lights.
Amongst other ideas was recreating raindrops with white laser, creating a cubicle with a whirlwind in it etc.
